Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 10-12 chicken wings drumettes or flats
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika or regular paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano optional
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder optional for a spicy kick
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder optional but helps with crisp
  • 1 Bottle of Primal Kitchen's Buffalo Sauce optional for serving
  • 1 lemon wedges optional for serving

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps them get extra crispy when air frying.
  • Remove any excess moisture.
  • Season the Wings:
  • Place the wings in a large bowl or large ziplock bag.
  • Drizzle the olive oil or avocado oil over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  • Add the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, oregano, baking soda and chili powder (if using). Toss the wings again until they are well coated with the seasoning.
  • Preheat Air Fryer:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Air Fry the Wings:
  • Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Air fry the wings at 400°F (193°C) for 10 minutes. Turn the wings over and air fry for an additional 14 minutes.
  • Check the wings for doneness. They should be golden and crispy on the outside. You can use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature has reached at least 165°F (74°C).

Notes

Once the wings are cooked, serve them with lemon wedges for extra flavor (optional).
You can also pair them with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of veggies for a complete meal.
