Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350. Grease a deep dish pie pan with melted butter.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
Drain the beef and add taco seasoning. Set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream. Add the salsa and 3/4 cups of cheese, salt and cayenne pepper.
Add the meat to the egg mixture and stir. Pour into the pie pan. Top the mixture with the remaining cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes or until browned on top and the pie seems set. Cool for a few minutes before serving. Add toppings such as sour cream, guacamole, green onions and salsa if desired.
